Kadromat was founded in 2017 in Zagreb. Its mission is the production of audiovisual works with uncompromising artistic expression. Within Kadromat, Daria Blažević and Mate Ugrin operate both as a production team and as directors of their own original projects.
Daria Blažević
is a film director and producer. She studied Film and TV Directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb and completed the Master program in Directing at the Film Academy in Vienna. She is a member of the Croatian Association of Independent Artists and the Croatian Film Directors Guild, where she serves as a member of the Board.
Her latest short film "Lessons" is currently in distribution, having premiered at Les Arcs Film Festival. She is in pre-production for her debut feature film "The Swamp".
Mate Ugrin
graduated in Film Directing from the Academy of Arts in Belgrade, and completed a Master's program at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg (HFBK Hamburg). He finished his Postgraduate studies in Arts and Media at the University of the Arts in Berlin (UdK Berlin).
As a director, screenwriter, and producer, he is credited with several short films, including "Recent Places" (2016) and "Meanwhile" (2017), which premiered at the Hamburg International Short Film Festival and won the FIRST STEPS award from the German Film Academy. His latest film, "Everything Ahead" (2021), premiered at the Sarajevo Film Festival, where it won the Heart of Sarajevo for the best short film. Currently, as a director, screenwriter, and producer, he is in post-production with his debut feature film "Petty Thieves" as well as his short film "Lava Stones."
